American clothing brand Abercrombie & Fitch has announced the opening of a new flagship store in New York. The outlet is located at the prestigious 668 Fifth Avenue location, between 52nd and 53rd Streets.
The store, which opened on July 21, features a full range of men’s and women’s apparel and accessories collections and special shop-in-shop spaces for children’s brand Abercrombie Kids and adult activewear franchise YPB (Your Personal Best).
The interior of the new Abercrombie & Fitch flagship is characterized by illuminated walls, bracketed columns and eccentric chandeliers, as well as slate windows and extensive use of wood, textiles, greenery and textured walls to create an open-space effect. The new store can also offer customers the latest omnichannel features for a better shopping experience.
“This store is a celebration of the evolution and strength of the Abercrombie brand,” said Fran Horowitz, CEO of Abercrombie & Fitch Co. “We are thrilled to offer our customers in New York City a new, immersive shopping experience that represents the absolute best of Abercrombie. This city has a storied place in our company’s history, where we opened our first store, and we’re proud to be here nearly 130 years later.”
Earlier it became known that the parent company Abercrombie & Fitch increased sales of its flagship brand by 14%, while Hollister revenue decreased by 7%. The sales forecast for 2023 was raised from 1-3% growth to 2-4%.
